that is an official Boston Marathon
For 2022, the Superior Dome will
host our EXPO and finish lines for
all of our races.
The Superior Dome, which opened as the "world’s largest wooden dome" on September 14, 1991, is a domed stadium on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. It is home to the Northern Michigan University football team as well as its marching band and a variety of other campus and community events.
This Marquette Marathon course has
quickly become known as one of
the fastest Boston Marathon
qualifier courses in the country!
The start is in the heart of the small
iron mining town, Ishpeming,
which means “heaven” in Ojibwa.
The course then follows the Iron Ore
Heritage Trail down into Marquette.
The course is fast and will once
again finish at the Superior Dome.
Shirts and medals to all finishers!
