The Marquette Marathon, Marathon RELAY, Half Marathon and Wildcat 5K are destination races run through the beauty that is Marquette County.
You'll be greeted in Marquette with a stunningly beautiful downhill course, sweet shirts and
rock-star finisher medals.
For 2022, the Marquette Marathon, Marathon RELAY, Half Marathon and Wildcat 5K will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, with the race EXPO being held on September 2nd.

The Marquette Marathon runs
on a downhill/certified course
that is an official Boston Marathon
qualifier.


Superior Dome
For 2022, the Superior Dome will
host our EXPO and finish lines for
all of our races.
The Superior Dome, which opened as the "world’s largest wooden dome" on September 14, 1991, is a domed stadium on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. It is home to the Northern Michigan University football team as well as its marching band and a variety of other campus and community events.
Marquette Marathon
This Marquette Marathon course has
quickly become known as one of
the fastest Boston Marathon
qualifier courses in the country!
The start is in the heart of the small
iron mining town, Ishpeming,
which means “heaven” in Ojibwa.
The course then follows the Iron Ore
Heritage Trail down into Marquette.
The course is fast and will once
again finish at the Superior Dome.
