We invite you to spend your Labor Day weekend with us in Marquette, Michigan for the 4th Annual Marquette Marathon and Half Marathon on August 31, 2013.

The Marquette Marathon is an official Boston Marathon qualifier that has been organized by marathon runners for marathon runners. The course is relatively flat and extremely scenic, taking you past some of Marquette’s most notable locations. These sights include Presque Isle, the Marquette lighthouse, iron ore docks, and miles and miles of Lake Superior shoreline.

The marathon begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the marathon relay at 7:45 a.m. and the half marathon at 8:00 a.m.

Marathon Proceeds

Every year the Marathon donates proceeds to local not-for-profit groups. Proceeds from the 2012 Marquette Marathon and Half Marathon benefited the Blueprint 4 Health Center and the music programs at Marquette Area Public Schools. 2013 proceeds will benefit the Marquette Senior High School Friends of Football.
